TRUST & SAFETY
Listing policy
Clear rules for what can be listed, how items must be described and what happens when a listing breaks the policy.
What belongs on TechRig
TechRig supports PC hardware, components, relevant accessories and complete systems available through the current posting categories. Listings must fit one of those categories and must relate directly to the item being sold.
Post Free AdProhibited listings
The following must not be listed on TechRig.
Stolen or unlawfully obtained items
Items the seller does not own or is not authorised to sell.
Counterfeit or deliberately misrepresented hardware
Fake items, altered labels or hardware deliberately presented as a different model or specification.
A modified or flashed BIOS is not automatically prohibited. It becomes a policy issue when it is used to misrepresent the item, conceal its identity or deceive a buyer.
Digital keys, licences and account sales
Software keys, game keys, activation codes, subscriptions and user accounts. TechRig is for supported physical hardware listings.
Phishing, payment traps or fraudulent links
Links or instructions intended to steal information, redirect payment or facilitate fraud.
Spam and duplicate listings
Repeated duplicate advertisements, irrelevant promotional content or misleading reposts.
Items outside TechRig’s supported categories
Products that do not fit the marketplace’s current posting categories.
Condition guide
Choose the condition that best represents the item and explain anything the grade does not cover.
- Brand New
- Unused and sealed or otherwise genuinely new. Accurately state the packaging, included accessories and whether any warranty is available or transferable.
- Like New
- Opened or lightly handled with little or no visible wear. Describe any missing packaging or accessories.
- Used - Excellent
- Used and fully functional, with only minor signs of normal use. Any known issue must still be disclosed.
- Used - Fair
- Working but showing visible wear, cosmetic damage or other limitations that must be described clearly.
- For Parts
- Not fully functional or intended for repair, salvage or parts. State what works, what does not and what testing has been completed.
Describe known faults, missing items, repairs, modifications and anything the condition grade does not explain.
