PACKAGING & SHIPPING

Packaging & Shipping Guide

Correct packing, accurate parcel details and tracked postage help buyers and sellers avoid damage and confusion.

Prepare your item for delivery

Five short sections: the parcel size you need, how to pack PC hardware, how to post or hand over the item, and one final check before anything leaves your hands.

Parcel size is the seller's own selection when an ad is posted. Weigh and measure the packed parcel, not the bare part.

  • Small · under 1kgRAM, CPUs, cables, small cardsA rigid padded envelope or a small box, once the part is protected inside it.
  • Medium · 1–5kgGPUs, motherboards, PSUs, coolersA rigid box with padding on every side, so nothing shifts when it is lifted.
  • Heavy · over 5kgCases, full rigs, rackmount chassisA strong double-walled box, or a collection, which is usually the safer option.
  • Collection onlyBuyer collects in personNot a posted parcel: agree a time and a public place for the handover.
  • If the packed parcel sits above a weight band, choose the size above it.

Postage is agreed between you and the buyer. TechRig does not quote, collect or hold postage payments.

REMEMBER

TechRig.ie is a listing venue: we don't handle payment or delivery. Agree the item, the price, the postage method and the address in TechRig messages before you dispatch.
