1. About these terms

TechRig.ie (“we”, “the platform”) is an online classifieds and listings venue operated from Monaghan, Ireland. It connects buyers and sellers of PC hardware in Ireland.

These terms form a binding agreement between you and TechRig.ie. Creating an account, posting a listing or contacting another user about a listing is subject to them. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use TechRig.ie.

2. TechRig.ie is a listings venue

TechRig.ie provides a listings venue where users advertise and discover PC hardware. Private transactions are arranged between users, and TechRig is not a party to them.

  • TechRig does not sell, own, inspect, store or deliver any item listed on the platform.
  • TechRig does not receive, hold or process transaction payments.
  • TechRig does not provide escrow and does not issue transaction refunds.
  • TechRig does not mediate or adjudicate private transaction disputes, including claims about item condition, delivery or payment.
  • The sale agreement is made directly between the buyer and the seller, on whatever terms they agree between themselves.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, post a listing or trade through TechRig.ie. This is a platform eligibility requirement. We may suspend accounts or remove listings where this requirement is not met.

4. Your responsibilities

When you register, list or trade on TechRig.ie you must:

  • Provide accurate, current and complete information when registering and when listing items.
  • List only items you own or are otherwise entitled to sell, and describe them honestly, including any faults.
  • Comply with the Listing Policy (prohibited items and condition standards) at all times.
  • Use the platform lawfully and respectfully: no harassment, spam, scraping, automated abuse or attempts to evade platform safeguards or moderation.
  • Keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity carried out under your account.
  • Comply with the Irish and EU laws that apply to you, including consumer-protection and tax obligations that apply to your sales.

5. Payments and transactions

Payment is arranged directly between buyer and seller using a method they both agree to, such as cash on collection or a bank transfer. TechRig.ie does not receive, hold, process or refund payment for any transaction.

TechRig is not a payment processor. We cannot reverse a private payment, recover funds, guarantee delivery or compensate either side of a failed deal.

If you suspect fraud, report it to your bank or payment provider and to An Garda Síochána. You can also report the listing to TechRig using the report control on the listing page.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Irish law:

  • Listings are supplied by users. TechRig does not warrant the condition, authenticity, functionality, legality or fitness for purpose of any item advertised.
  • TechRig does not verify, test or inspect items listed on the platform, and condition grades reflect only what the seller has declared.
  • TechRig accepts no liability for loss or damage arising from private payments made between users, including non-delivery, misdescription, fraud or chargebacks, to the extent permitted by law.
  • TechRig accepts no liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform, to the extent permitted by law.
  • Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Irish law.

7. Content, suspension and removal

You grant TechRig.ie a non-exclusive licence to display the listings and content you submit, for the purpose of operating the platform.

TechRig may edit, hide or remove any listing, and may suspend or restrict any account, that breaches these terms, the Listing Policy, or our safety and legal-compliance requirements. This may happen with or without notice where it is needed for user safety or legal compliance.

8. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new “last updated” date. Continued use of TechRig.ie after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction.

REMEMBER

TechRig.ie does not handle payments or mediate private transaction disputes.
